Our family spent two weeks at the castle, children and grandparents included. There was something to enjoy everyday, from golfing at St.Andrews to eating outdoors at the fish and chips stand in Pittenweem. The castle was a comfortable place to relax, we enjoyed walking around the castle grounds and sitting around the herb garden. Grandmother was at home in the kitchen. Grandfather immersed himself in the history of it all. The weather was warm that August and we were able to swim in the sea. Edinburgh Castle was awesome. The shopping was great. We went home to Tokyo, our suitcases bulging with beautiful sweaters, kilts and Nessie toys for the little ones. Many thanks for the wonderful memories, the Ghanem-Latour family

I belong to an online photography project in which each member aims to publish a photograph a day for a year. Another member is your current guest Pauline. We had never met in real life so after a day out nearby we went to meet her and her husband and friends. I had my 15 year old son and his friend and my 11 year old son and his friend with me. They had been warned that we wouldnt be staying too long and to just “look interested and be polite” when Pauline showed us round. BUT all 5 of us were absolutely BLOWN AWAY! We lived in Fife for a good few years but I didnt even know the Castle was there! It is an absolute hidden gem. On the way home all talk was about “Did you see the …” and the teens pronounced it “AWESOME!” And anyone who has a teen will know that is some feat! Congratulations on an absolutely fabulous renovation!
